AWM/SIAM will be hosting a talk by Rachel Lehman, a graduate student in the math department. She will be giving an interactive talk about topology! Topology is the study of properties that are preserved through deformations, twistings, and stretchings of spaces. Come learn about spaces such as the torus and Mobius band! This talk will be hands on and we’ll get to learn about some topological applications.
