The Student Chapter of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) at the University of Arkansas will be hosting lecture series on scientific computing in Fall 2018 semester.

The emphasis is on problem solving and the lecture series offer multiple projects concerning applications in science and engineering. The purposes of the lecture series are:
1- develop an understanding of algorithms for solving problems
2- develop programming skills to implement algorithms using computing resources and environments
